Multi-station gyms, weight racks and individual station machines should be checked for loose cabling, loose pads, brackets and bars as well as damaged cables and pulleys. Seats, back rests, elbow pads can come loose because of plywood frame structure shrinkage over time. It may be necessary to check and tighten them every few years. Brackets and moving bars such as leg lifts can work loose and may also need good quality grease applied at about the three year mark. Parts are cleaned and inspected for excessive wear before grease is applied. If unit has bushings instead of bearings, re-greasing may be necessary. We clean & Inspect these parts before applying grease. If parts are showing excessive ware, then it is necessary to replace parts and then assemble with a small amount of grease. If unit has bearings at the pivot points they will need to be checked for tightness. Excessive play may be an indication that part(s) will need replacing. Gym Cables and pulleys should also be inspected. Need a new cable? We make them on site!
NOTE: Some Gym cables are more flexible than others. Call us for more information about this. We would be happy to make cables for your gym for more fluent movement. Cables will in time start to crack around the plastic coating. When this happens they can start to twist and come off and also damage pulleys. Replace cables before the inner cable is exposed. We make sure that all cables and fittings such as ball ends, eyelets and adjusting screw ends are set and adjusted properly. When we service your strength piece, all these points done with care. It is the best way to insure the safety of all users.
